Too Many Long Boxes!

End of Summer

This month the winner is:

The Quarter Bin

Although it apparently hasn't been updated for a while, the Quarter Bin is a fanzine much like Fanzing.

The Quarter Bin is column oriented, with contributors writing columns titled Opinions, Profiles, Public Square, Recycling Bin, Revolving Door of Death, The Talent Pool, Truly Awful Comics, etc. The topic of each column is pretty self explanatory. For example, Talent Pool profiles industry creators, and Truly Awful Comics looks at, well, really bad comics.

Some columns have been around longer than others (for example 57 "Recyling Bins" have been written, whereas the "Talent Pool" has 25 entries), and a column by column index allows you to peruse all entries.

Much like its namesake, the Quarter Bin is an excellent source of great material at a low price (free!).

David R. Black is's magazine editor and chief archivist. A big fan of "The Warlord," he has a cat named Shakira and is looking for a girlfriend named Tara....
