FRANTIC MOMS SCREAM
"WHERE'S MY BABY?"

Parents all over the world are in panic yesterday as all of the Earth's children have mysteriously disappeared. At approximately 4:16 PM E.S.T., in what was a shocking display, anyone under the age of 16 just faded out of existence. It is unknown at this time what has caused the disappearance, and if anything can be done to bring them back.

Reports so far indicate that Earth's children were

simply there one second and gone the next. Victoria Kershaw of Metropolis who runs the Metropolis University Daycare had this to say, "I was playing with my son Ethan and the other children, and I turned to get some more toys, when I turned back Ethan and the rest of the children were gone!"

Other parents share similar stories, and as can be expected concern for there children, and children in general is very high. Green Lantern, speaking on behalf of the Justice League offered this statement, "At the time of the children's disappearance, nothing was detected by the JLA Watchtower, but believe me when I say the Justice League will not rest until Earth's children have been returned."

The United Nations have asked all concerned citizens to try and remain calm as this disappearance is looked into. Not everyone shares this opinion, Lex Luthor offered this, " I will do what ever it takes to see Lena returned to me unharmed."

But what can anyone do? No one seem's to know how this has happened. Is this another plot by some super villain? Is Brainiac playing mental tricks on everyone? No one knows for sure. The only thing that can be done is to be patient and pray.

CLINTON DEAD
Ivy Town -- David Clinton, the supervillain known as Chronos, passed away yesterday after a lingering illness. Chronos, a thief who used various time-controlling and time-traveling devices in a decade-long career, had begun suffering from a "temporal instability" in which he became immaterial for brief periods. Yesterday, he completely disappeared.

Ray Palmer, the superhero known as the Atom, had encountered Chronos more than any other costumed individual. "I don't usually speak ill of the dead," Palmer stated, "but he did try to kill me on numerous occasions. Frankly, I don't think I was ever Chronos' biggest enemy; his own lack of imagination was his largest stumbling block. I once visited him in prison and tried to convince him that a guy with his abilities could make more money legally than he could ever steal! I told him, 'Just get a camcorder and tape the Crucifixion, or prove that Leif Eriksen discovered America or hang around Loch Ness when that couple claims Nessie crossed the road in front of them! Market tapes like that and you'd be doing the world a favor! Or buy a comic book from 1938 or that stamp with the airplane upside-down and sell them. The collectors would thank you!' But three weeks later I caught him trying to go back in time to rob a bank and I sort of gave up on that."

Memorial services are planned for this week. It is expected that many of Chronos' supervillian cronies from the Injustice Gang of the World will vie for Clinton's estate. Attorney Jean Loring, the ex-wife of Ray Palmer and the lawyer handling Clinton's will has remained silent on the matter of the names of beneficiaries. Nevertheless, the Ivy Town police are gearing up for the arrival of a large number of wanted felons.

GREEN LANTERN SAVES SCHOOL BUS
- Carmel, CA In what may have been the last good deed done for Earth's children before their disappearance, Green Lantern saved a bus full of handicapped children today before it was hit by a train.

Jo Brady, the bus driver for the C.D.H.S. district had time to rescue one child from the vehicle before the speeding train was spotted. Unable to rescue the other children without the risk to her own life, she was grateful to see the young member of the Justice League flying in to save the day.

Green Lantern was able to rescue the remaining children before the bus was destroyed, but commented that he was sorry he was unable to save the wheelchairs. "He is my hero, and the hero of these children," stated Ms. Brady.
