Movie Poster

ART CHALLENGE!

Deadline: March 28, 1999

As a film afficianado, I get a thrill out of movie posters. Sometimes, they're the most fun part of a movie. The film itself may be bad but the poster is still a classic. In the case of a truly great film, the poster immediately leaps to mind. Star Wars, Batman, Crocodile Dundee, The Godfather, Airplane, Schindler's List…all of these films had posters which conveyed the feel of the film and some suggestion of the plot. Some do it with just a picture, others have a cool tagline.

So here's the challenge:
  1. Create a piece of movie poster artwork for a motion picture featuring the DC character of your choice.
  2. Send it in to [email protected] by March 28, 1999.
  3. I and severak other judges will pick the best one. The results will be announced in the April issue.

Entries must be in a digital format such as GIF or JPG. Photomanipulations are allowed for backgrounds, although doing a background by hand can help your score. All acceptable entries will be shown in the April issue. Have fun!
